The Vice President, Capital & Investments serves as a senior investment executive for the organization and strategic partner to the Chief Investment Officer. This role is responsible for leading the execution of the enterprise investment management platform in partnership with the CIO, including capital allocation processes, portfolio oversight, investment governance and long-term value creation strategy across public and private investments, real estate, operating business and affiliated investment entities. This position requires a combination of institutional investment expertise and business acumen to support the capital allocation priorities of a large, privately held operating enterprise. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day leadership of the investment function, develops actionable recommendations for the CIO and other decision-makers, and helps ensure that capital is deployed in a disciplined manner consistent with enterprise objectives, values, liquidity needs and risk tolerances. Operates with significant autonomy within approved investment policies, strategic asset-allocation parameters, delegated authority limits, and established governance processes. Makes portfolio and operational decisions within delegated authority and develops recommendations for decisions reserved for the CIO, investment committees, executive leadership, or boards.
