About The Position

Bank of America is hiring a Vice President; Architect to design, develop, and maintain technology applications supporting banking processes. The role includes creating solution architectures for large-scale data warehouse applications and scalable backend systems, developing production-ready software with web, cloud, and distributed technologies, and delivering solutions for online banking applications such as account opening and client and product servicing. The position works with business, product, technology, and internal client teams to translate requirements into technical specifications and business process reengineering, and to deliver technology solutions. Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite. The role is based at 70 Batterson Park Rd, Farmington, Connecticut, and is a first-shift position of 40 hours per week.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, CIS, MIS, Engineering (any), or a related field.
Four years of experience in the job offered or a related IT occupation.
Four years of experience designing and developing solution architecture for large-scale data warehouse applications.
Four years of experience utilizing midrange technology tools, including Python, Pyspark, Unix shell scripting, Autosys, and Hive, to resolve sourcing and distribution solutions.
Four years of experience understanding the Teradata ecosystem and delivering solutions using that ecosystem.
Four years of experience creating a roadmap for distribution using CDW as a platform while utilizing large-scale DBMS, including Teradata.

Responsibilities

Design and develop solution architectures to scale backend systems using .NET, Java, Spring Boot, and REST specifications for online banking applications, including account opening and client and product servicing.
Design and develop production-ready software using web, cloud, and distributed technologies, including microservices, CI/CD, cloud deployment, and REST APIs.
Develop and maintain banking technology applications.
Conduct structured analyses of technological solutions applicable to investment, commercial, and consumer banking processes.
Provide technical excellence in designing, developing, and maintaining state-of-the-art technology applications.
Gather and translate internal and external client requirements into technical design specifications and business process reengineering.
Partner with business, product, and technology teams across the organization to deliver technology solutions.
Prepare presentation materials for meetings.
Demonstrate understanding of the product set and business processes used within the organization.
Communicate and interact regularly with internal clients.
