This role is crucial for driving commercial success in platform products, particularly by leveraging AI work with large brands to increase sales revenue and enhancing the financial and operational aspects of journalists' careers. Patch operates on a remote-first model, seeking individuals who connect with its mission of informing communities and supporting local businesses.

Requirements

Proven attribution of commercial success and business outcomes in self-serve SMB products.
Fluency in Clay Christensen's JTBD framework.
5+ years of leading leaders in technical and product roles in entrepreneurial environments.
Technical credibility: 10+ years of experience as an engineer and/or managing engineering teams.
Ability to reason directly about architecture, data, feasibility, and trade-offs.
Hands-on approach: prototyping, inspecting data, customer interaction, and working through details with the team.
Leadership style characterized by curiosity, candor, self-awareness, low ego, and a sense of humor.
Technical fluency to earn the trust of engineers, though not necessarily mastery of the entire tech stack.
