About The Position

VWH is seeking a Vice President, AI Platform Lead to transform our business into an AI-native platform — building a strong data foundation and deploying agentic capabilities across the platform. This will be our first hire focused on AI, and the ideal candidate will own the build end-to-end — designing the data foundation and deploying agentic capabilities that reshape how the firm works, then scaling them across every team. As the firm's central point of accountability for AI, you'll work with senior management to decide which tools we adopt and drive them from individual experimentation into dependable, firmwide capabilities. This role will work closely with teams across the business to identify where AI can meaningfully reduce manual work, while also ensuring every deployment meets the security, compliance, and data-governance standards our business requires.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in IT, data engineering, or applied AI/ML roles, ideally with exposure to financial services or mortgage/real estate data
  • Hands-on experience integrating LLM-based tools (Claude, OpenAI, etc.) into internal workflows — not just using them, but architecting secure deployments
  • Familiarity with enterprise security concepts: SSO/SAML, access provisioning, and data governance
  • Strong cross-functional communicator, comfortable operating between multiple departments who have various degrees of technological expertise
  • Ability to work full-time in Uptown Dallas office.
  • Permanent US work authorization is required.

Responsibilities

  • Build a strategic, AI-native platform spanning data integration, AI models and tools, workflow orchestration, and data governance
  • Develop and deploy the firm’s AI roadmap, serving as the primary point of contact for evaluating and onboarding new AI capabilities, or alternative technologies
  • Design and enforce security and access controls for AI tools, including SSO enforcement, session/device restrictions, data-handling policies, and audit logging
  • Partner with all firm departments to identify where AI can replace manual work and drive change end-to-end
  • Evaluate and resolve access friction issues by finding or building AI-compatible workarounds that remain compliant to company standards
  • Set standards and guardrails for how AI is used with sensitive data
  • Serve as an internal trainer and champion, helping other teams use AI tools effectively and safely
  • Other duties as assigned

Benefits

  • competitive compensation package
  • base salary
  • performance-based bonus
  • comprehensive benefits
