About The Position

The Field Service Site Lead’s role is to lead and execute our Predictive Maintenance and Reliability Program at a customer site. This highly visible role serves as the primary liaison between the customer and SKF, driving equipment reliability, asset performance, operational excellence, customer value, and business growth. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, communicate effectively with customer stakeholders, coach and mentor direct reports or site team members as needed, and coordinate across SKF and customer teams to ensure bearing faults and other reliability concerns are properly evaluated and addressed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferred) or related technical field experience.
  • Certification in Vibration Analysis (ISO Category II or higher preferred).
  • Professional certification in reliability, such as CMRP or CRL (preferred)
  • Extensive experience in maintenance and reliability within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in reliability software and predictive maintenance technologies.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and team-building abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with customers, internal technical teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, or leading direct reports, site personnel, or technical resources preferred.
  • Strong in Microsoft Office 365 applications and other computer tools

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the on-site SKF lead and primary customer contact for the Predictive Maintenance and Reliability Program.
  • Lead site reliability activities, including vibration analysis, condition monitoring, predictive maintenance, and corrective action planning.
  • Analyze asset health data to identify developing equipment issues, bearing faults, failure modes, and opportunities to improve reliability.
  • Coordinate with SKF service, engineering, application, and technical teams to validate findings and deliver clear recommendations to the customer.
  • Build strong customer relationships by communicating program priorities, equipment risks, corrective actions, and business impact clearly and proactively.
  • Prepare and present reliability findings, program metrics, operational reviews, cost savings, and ROI summaries to customer leadership.
  • Identify qualified upsell opportunities for SKF products and services and communicate them to the Service Field Manager for follow-up.
  • Support reliability improvement initiatives such as RCFA, FMEA, RCM, lubrication excellence, alignment, balancing, rebuild support, and quality reviews.
  • Provide site leadership by setting expectations, promoting accountability, and ensuring work is completed consistently and professionally.
  • Coach, mentor site resources, and customer personnel on reliability principles, predictive maintenance technologies, and best practices.
