Vial Prep Technician
About The Position
The Vial Prep Technician is an entry level lab position. The mission of Dairy One’s Vial Prep Team is to provide clean, dry, serviceable milk sampling vials to our field technicians 6 days per week. If you are the type of person that likes to meet or beat target goal quantities and times, then these fast-paced, high-volume throughput, iterative tasks may be for you. Technicians may be tasked with operating high throughput dish washers, preparing vials with a liquid milk preservative, closing the vial caps and boxing the finished products. Focus will be on achieving production and turnaround time standards in a safe manner. Work will be performed under supervision. Examples of duties performed include washing milk sample vials, pipetting vials, and preparing them for reuse and mixing simple chemical solutions.
Requirements
- Close mental and visual attention required for controlling machines or processes at a rapid pace requiring coordination.
- Constantly uses hands to finger, handle, or feel; and performs repetitive motions of the hands and/or wrists.
- Regularly stands, walks, and reaches with arms and/or hands.
- Occasionally stoops, crouches, and bends.
- Ability to occasionally lift to 30 pounds.
