About The Position

Our Via Ferrata Route Guides operate and maintain the Via Ferrata and all components in a manner that is safe and enjoyable for the participant through safety instruction and route guiding, course organization and gear explanation.

Requirements

• Via Ferrata and/or climbing experience.
• Must be physically capable of completing all elements of the Via Ferrata, facilitate rescues, and handle all guest protective gear.
• Must have the ability to work with diverse groups of people and confidence in ability to instruct groups and enforce procedures.
• Must complete all required Via Ferrata Guide training.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• First aid and CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest quality guest experience
• Provide a safe environment for guests and staff to participate while providing safety, fun and learning at the highest level.
• Maintain all Via Ferrata elements and gear to highest safety standards
• Properly screen all guests to determine participation eligibility and to allow for proper equipment fitting
• Assist guests and explain basic Via Ferrata orientation and procedures through participation at the practice route
• Check and verify fit of all guest equipment before entering the Via Ferrata
• Actively guide through route and mediate any hazards that may arise.
• Scan all activity tickets.
• Follow all course opening and closing procedures.
