About The Position

GoodVets is a nationwide network of modern animal hospitals co-owned with local veterinarians. The Veterinary Technician supports veterinarians and helps provide high-quality patient care, including surgical support, anesthesia monitoring, diagnostics, and patient education. The role is part of a collaborative, supportive team that values professional development, initiative, and compassionate care.

The technician performs clinical procedures, assists with examinations and surgery, cares for hospitalized patients, and supports recordkeeping and client communication. The position also contributes to maintaining a clean, organized hospital environment. Compensation is $20–$26 USD.

Requirements

• Prior surgical and anesthesia experience in a veterinary clinical setting.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Strong customer service orientation and a passion for helping pets and people.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team-oriented mindset and eagerness to learn new techniques and grow professionally.

Nice To Haves

• CVT or RVT license preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and place IV catheters accurately and efficiently.
• Conduct radiographic imaging and assist with diagnostics.
• Monitor anesthesia and support veterinarians during surgical procedures.
• Conduct physical exams and patient assessments, and communicate findings effectively.
• Assist with surgical preparation, dental procedures, and lab work.
• Provide compassionate care to hospitalized patients, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Support patient recordkeeping and client communication for follow-up and education.
• Contribute to a clean, organized, and supportive hospital environment.
