About The Position

Caring Hands Ashburn is hiring a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician to provide skilled patient care and exceptional service to clients. The role supports veterinarians in clinical and surgical care, performs technical procedures, communicates with clients, and helps maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked hospital environment. The position averages 32–40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with no weekends. Compensation is $25.00–$40.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience, with a $3,000 sign-on bonus. Requirements

Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification.
Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
Knowledge of common disease states and ability to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.
Experience in animal care, client communication, and veterinary procedures.

Responsibilities

Support veterinarians with patient care, examinations, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
Safely and compassionately handle and restrain animals.
Communicate clearly with clients, including providing care instructions and status updates.
Perform technical duties such as laboratory work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
Keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
