Requirements

  • Veterinary Technician License (LVT, CVT, or RVT) preferred, but not required
  • Foundational veterinary knowledge, including patient restraint, triage, imaging, laboratory skills, and venipuncture.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to stay calm and organized under pressure.
  • Provide excellent customer service and interact with clients in a manner that supports Avets' mission to provide state of the art medicine and compassionate care for pets and the people who love them.
  • Work with fellow team members to maintain a productive, positive and respectful environment.
  • All technical staff, regardless of the level of experience, must be able to stand, bend, lift, and/or kneel for the duration of a shift (12 hours), and lift a minimum of twenty five pounds.
  • Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior emergency experience preferred, but not required.
  • Certified Veterinary Technicians or license eligible candidates will be given the highest consideration.
