Veterinary Technician
About The Position
VCA Bonita Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join its team. The technician supports veterinary technicians and doctors while creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for clients and patients. The role focuses on delivering an outstanding client experience, building pet parents’ confidence, and providing exceptional care to patients, including hospitalized animals. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at 3438 Bonita Rd, Chula Vista, California 91910. The stated compensation range is $21–$31 per hour and is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials.
Requirements
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) credential.
- Experience as a veterinary technician.
Responsibilities
- Deliver an outstanding client experience and build pet parents’ confidence in the lifelong care of their animals.
- Support veterinary technician and doctor teams.
- Help create a positive, low-stress atmosphere for clients and patients.
- Perform venipuncture and catheter placement.
- Provide radiology services and monitor anesthesia.
- Conduct physical examinations and patient assessments.
- Prepare for and assist with surgery.
- Provide dentistry, laboratory, and pharmacy services.
- Support patient recovery and provide compassionate care to hospitalized patients.
