VCA West 86th Street Animal Hospital is a trusted 3-doctor practice serving pets and families in our community with personalized veterinary care. As a Veterinary Technician, you’ll play an essential role in patient care and client experience. Requirements

• Registered Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, LVMT, RVT) or eligible to sit for the VTNE
• Strong technical skills or desire to continue developing clinical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Passion for patient care and client service

Responsibilities

• Assist with surgical procedures, including anesthesia monitoring and recovery
• Perform dental prophylaxis, charting, and dental radiographs
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed by the veterinarian
• Collect laboratory samples and perform in-house diagnostics
• Prepare patients and exam rooms for appointments and procedures
• Obtain patient histories and monitor hospitalized patients
• Educate clients on treatment plans, medications, and at-home care
• Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
• Support teammates in delivering exceptional patient and client care
