Responsibilities

  • Supporting veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures
  • Providing attentive and compassionate nursing care
  • Safely handling and restraining patients
  • Collecting and preparing diagnostic samples
  • Performing venipuncture
  • Placing and maintaining IV catheters
  • Supporting diagnostic testing and in-house laboratory work
  • Assisting with digital radiography
  • Preparing and administering medications and treatments as directed
  • Monitoring patients and communicating changes to the medical team
  • Educating clients about patient care and veterinary recommendations
  • Maintaining accurate patient records
  • Keeping treatment and patient-care areas clean, organized, and ready for the day
  • Collaborating with teammates to maintain an efficient workflow
  • Providing compassionate care to patients while supporting the people who love them
