Best Friends Animal Hospital is seeking an Experienced or Licensed Veterinary Technician to join their team. This role is for a full-time position with a salary range of $18.00 - $21.00 per hour, based on experience and licensure. The hospital is passionate about providing exceptional medical care throughout the lifetime of every pet and building lasting relationships with clients. Requirements

• Previous experience working in a veterinary hospital preferred
• Licensed Veterinary Technician credential preferred but not required
• Strong technical and patient care skills
• Experience with anesthesia monitoring and surgical support
• Knowledge of pharmacology and medication administration
• Strong communication and client service skills
• Ability to stay organized and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Compassion for patients, clients, and coworkers

Responsibilities

• Triage patients and assist with emergency care as needed
• Obtain thorough patient histories and maintain accurate treatment records
• Administer and dispense medications as directed
• Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and sample collection
• Assist with surgical procedures, including preparation, monitoring, and recovery
• Perform diagnostic imaging and support diagnostic testing
• Calculate medication dosages accurately and safely
• Assist with CPR and emergency patient care when needed
• Educate clients on preventative care, treatments, and patient needs
• Collaborate with veterinarians and teammates to provide exceptional patient care
