About The Position

At BluePearl Northeast Portland, we are seeking an experienced ER/ICU Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT) who is looking for advanced medicine, a genuinely supportive culture, and a hospital that invests heavily in their growth. Our hospital includes services in Emergency & ICU, Critical Care, Surgery, Internal Medicine, and Ophthalmology. Our team includes 5 VTS professionals, experienced CVTs and assistants, dedicated training and mentorship support, and a collaborative leadership team focused on growth, respect, and psychological safety.

Requirements

Experienced ER/ICU Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT)
Advanced ER and ICU caseload experience
Ability to utilize and grow advanced technical skills
Strong technician utilization and autonomy
Skills-based training and professional development

Market Trainers with VTS in ECC

Responsibilities

Triage and obtain patient histories in a fast-paced emergency environment
Identify unstable patients and initiate life-saving interventions including CPR
Place peripheral IV catheters and advanced lines including central lines and PICC lines
Monitor and care for critically ill hospitalized patients
Perform diagnostics, treatments, and outpatient procedures
Collaborate closely with DVMs, specialists, CVTs, assistants, and client service teams
Mentor and support fellow technicians and assistants
