About The Position

Toro Park Animal Hospital is hiring a full-time or part-time Veterinary Technician to join its team of veterinarians and support staff. The clinic provides individualized care for dogs and cats and uses low-stress, Fear Free techniques and state-of-the-art treatment. The role supports veterinarians and veterinary technicians in delivering high-quality patient care in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. The schedule is Monday through Friday with some Saturdays, for 40 hours per week. Compensation is $28–$32 per hour, based on experience and skill set. Requirements

Veterinary experience is required.
Technical know-how in disinfection, administering medication, and using diagnostic equipment.
Physical ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.

Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during examinations, treatments, and surgeries.
Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately.
Prepare examination rooms and surgical areas by cleaning and sterilizing equipment and surfaces.
Perform basic laboratory tests, including collecting blood, urine, and stool samples.
Administer medications and vaccinations under a veterinarian’s supervision.
Feed, bathe, and exercise animals as needed.
Maintain accurate medical records.
Communicate with pet owners about their pets’ care, treatment plans, and follow-up visits.
Clean and maintain the clinic, stock supplies, and help ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
