Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous Veterinary Technician experience required
- Strong surgical and anesthesia monitoring skills
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Positive attitude and collaborative mindset
- Compassion for patients, clients, and coworkers
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced veterinary environment
Nice To Haves
- Experience with venipuncture, IV catheter placement, radiology, laboratory work, and pharmacology preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and surgical procedures
- Anesthetize, monitor, maintain, and recover surgical patients perioperatively
- Obtain patient histories, vitals, temperatures, and diagnostic samples
- Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, laboratory work, and radiology
- Prepare medications, vaccines, and preventative care treatments
- Safely restrain patients while minimizing stress and promoting safety
- Clean and prepare exam rooms following OSHA guidelines
- Maintain accurate patient records and support efficient hospital workflow
