About The Position

Arlington Veterinary Center is seeking an experienced, client-focused Veterinary Technician to support outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry. The role balances exam-room care, client communication, and hands-on procedural support in a dynamic general practice environment. The technician contributes to consistent, high-quality care throughout the patient visit and helps strengthen the quality of medicine, client experience, and patient care. The practice cares for dogs, cats, and exotic animals and offers opportunities to work with experienced veterinarians in a collaborative setting.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of veterinary technician experience.
• Proficiency in anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery.
• Proficiency in surgical assistance and aseptic technique.
• Proficiency in dental prophylaxis and dental radiography.
• Ability to use safe, low-stress patient handling and restraint techniques.
• Strong critical thinking and attention to detail.
• Effective teamwork and professional communication skills.
• Commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Support efficient exam-room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows.
• Perform dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography.
• Review treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately.
• Build strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service.
• Support anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery.
• Assist with surgery and maintain aseptic technique.
• Use safe, low-stress patient handling and restraint techniques.
