About The Position

Northside Veterinary Clinic is hiring a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician or license-eligible Veterinary Technician to provide skilled patient care and exceptional client service. The role averages 35–40 hours per week across four 10-hour shifts. Candidates must be available Monday through Friday, 8:45 AM–6:00 PM, and Saturdays, 8:45 AM–4:00 PM. Salary is $24–$42 per hour, determined by skills, experience, and qualifications.

Northside Veterinary Clinic, established in 1997, is located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. It is a full-service, state-of-the-art animal hospital providing routine and emergency care, as well as alternative therapies including Chinese and Western herbal therapy, acupuncture, shockwave therapy, craniosacral therapy, and laser therapy. Requirements

• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification, or eligibility for licensure in New York.
• Surgical experience.
• Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
• Knowledge of common disease states and ability to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
• Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians with patient care, examinations, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
• Safely and compassionately handle and restrain animals.
• Communicate clearly with clients, including providing care instructions and status updates.
• Perform technical duties such as laboratory work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
• Keep examination rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
• Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
