About The Position

SAHO Animal Hospital is a 24/7 Emergency and General Practice hospital seeking experienced Veterinary Technicians to support our expanding ICU, ER, and GP services. With a team of 14 veterinarians and 30+ technicians and assistants, this is a unique opportunity to grow your career in a high-volume, hands-on environment. Whether your background is in ER, ICU, or strong general practice, we’re looking for technicians who are ready to step into a fast-paced setting and make an impact! SAHO Animal Hospital is a hospital serving the community since 1998 and transitioned to a 24/7 emergency veterinary hospital model in June 2025. We have a large, collaborative team with many long-tenured employees (5–14+ years). We are currently growing through a major transition, including plans for a dedicated ICU wing, and are focused on developing team members and elevating skillsets across ER, ICU, and GP.

Requirements

Veterinary Technician experience required
ER or ICU experience strongly preferred; strong GP technicians with an interest in emergency medicine are encouraged to apply
Ability to multitask and stay calm in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Confidence handling urgent and critical cases
Proactive, team-oriented mindset with strong initiative
Commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous learning

Responsibilities

Provide care for hospitalized and critical patients in a 24/7 veterinary hospital setting
Assist with triage and intake of high-acuity emergency cases
Monitor anesthesia and support emergency and surgical procedures
Participate in daily rounds and ongoing ICU patient care
Manage a wide range of cases, from moderate to critical
Assist in exam rooms, urgent care appointments, and treatment areas
Perform diagnostics, patient care, and client communication
Support surgery and dental procedures outside of the ICU
