About The Position

Tequesta Veterinary Clinic is hiring a full-time Veterinary Technician to provide skilled patient care and exceptional client service. The role supports veterinarians with exams, surgery, anesthesia, recovery, and technical procedures, while helping maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked clinic. The clinic is a three-doctor AAHA hospital in a coastal community and emphasizes compassionate care, professional growth, and an inclusive environment. The schedule requires flexibility Monday through Saturday: weekdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and rotating Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. There are no Sunday or holiday hours. Salary is $18.00–$20.00 per hour, determined by the candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications.

Requirements

Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
Knowledge of common disease states and ability to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.
Experience in animal care, client communication, and veterinary procedures is sought in the ideal candidate.

Responsibilities

Support veterinarians with patient care, examinations, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion.
Communicate clearly with clients, including providing care instructions and status updates.
Perform technical duties such as laboratory work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
Keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
