VCA Conewago Animal Hospital is expanding its medical team and seeking a veterinary technician. Our AAHA-accredited facility, established in 1980, is dedicated to providing the best medical care for pets and an exceptional experience for their owners. Located in Hanover, our team of veterinarians, technicians, and support staff are highly trained in the latest procedures and medicines to ensure patients receive optimal preventive and healing care. Requirements

  • Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT)
  • Knowledge of the latest procedures and medicines
  • Ability to perform physical examinations and patient assessment
  • Ability to monitor anesthesia
  • Ability to prepare for and assist in surgeries
  • Ability to perform dentistry
  • Ability to conduct radiology
  • Ability to perform laboratory work
  • Ability to place catheters
  • Ability to administer medications
  • Ability to monitor patient recovery
  • Ability to provide compassionate care for hospitalized animals

Responsibilities

  • Support technician and doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for clients and patients.
  • Win the confidence of every pet parent by delivering an outstanding client experience.
  • Perform physical examinations and patient assessments.
  • Monitor anesthesia.
  • Prepare for and assist in surgeries.
  • Perform dentistry.
  • Conduct radiology.
  • Perform laboratory work.
  • Place catheters.
  • Administer medications from the pharmacy.
  • Monitor patient recovery.
  • Provide compassionate care for hospitalized animals.
  • Utilize knowledge and skills as a credentialed veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT).
