Burlington Veterinary Center is hiring an Experienced Veterinary Technician – Surgery & Clinical Services!

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1–2 years of Veterinary Technician experience required
  • Strong technical skills including phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, dentistry, and patient recovery care
  • Excellent communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and team-focused mindset
  • Passion for surgery, diagnostics, and advanced patient care
  • Commitment to continued learning and professional growth
  • Positive attitude and collaborative approach to teamwork
  • Confidence adapting across multiple hospital roles and responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Prepare surgical patients and assist during surgical procedures
  • Induce, monitor, and manage anesthesia safely and effectively
  • Support patient recovery and advanced nursing care for hospitalized patients
  • Perform in-house laboratory diagnostics including bloodwork, cytology, and sample processing
  • Assist with radiology, ultrasound imaging, and dentistry procedures
  • Support wellness and sick patient appointments as needed
  • Administer treatments including laser therapy and other therapeutic modalities
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding patient care and treatment plans
  • Collaborate closely with veterinarians and teammates to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Assist with hospital workflow and client communication, including phone support when needed
