About The Position

Parkland Animal Clinic is hiring a full-time Veterinary Technician to provide skilled patient care and exceptional client service. The role supports veterinarians with patient care, examinations, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery, and includes technical duties such as laboratory work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement. The technician also communicates with clients, maintains medical records, assists with medication dispensing, and helps keep the clinic’s work areas and equipment clean, stocked, and ready. This position averages 32–38 hours per week. The clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Saturday availability is required, and candidates must be flexible to work shifts within operating hours. Parkland Animal Clinic is a full-service practice in Parkland, Florida, providing services that include preventive care, nutrition guidance, dentistry, surgery, laser therapy, radiology, and senior care.

Requirements

At least 1 year of veterinary experience.
Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
Knowledge of common disease states and ability to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.
Availability to work Saturdays and flexibility to work shifts within the clinic’s operating hours.
