About The Position

Parkland Animal Clinic is hiring a full-time Veterinary Technician to provide skilled patient care and exceptional client service. The role supports veterinarians with clinical procedures and patient care, communicates with clients, and helps maintain a clean, safe, and well-prepared clinic. The clinic is a full-service veterinary practice in Parkland, Florida, providing preventive care, nutrition guidance, dentistry, surgery, laser therapy, radiology, and senior care. This position averages 32–38 hours per week. The clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Saturday availability is required, and candidates must be flexible to work shifts within operating hours. Pay is $21–$24 per hour, determined by skills, experience, and qualifications.

Requirements

At least 1 year of veterinary experience.
Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
Knowledge of common disease states and ability to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

Support veterinarians with patient care, examinations, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
Safely and compassionately handle and restrain animals.
Communicate clearly with clients, including providing care instructions and status updates.
Perform technical duties such as laboratory work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
Keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
