About The Position

Parkland Animal Clinic is hiring a full-time Veterinary Technician to provide skilled care to patients and exceptional service to clients. The role supports veterinarians with patient care and procedures, performs technical duties, communicates with clients, maintains records and medication processes, and helps keep the clinic clean, stocked, and safe. The position averages 32–38 hours per week. Saturday availability is required, and the technician must be flexible to work shifts during the clinic’s operating hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Parkland Animal Clinic is a full-service veterinary practice in Parkland, Florida, serving pets from Parkland, Boca West, Coral Springs, Coconut Creek, and surrounding areas. Its services include preventive care, nutrition guidance, dentistry, surgery, laser therapy, radiology, and senior care. Requirements

At least 1 year of veterinary experience.
Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
Knowledge of common disease states and ability to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.
Saturday availability and flexibility to work shifts within the clinic's operating hours.

Responsibilities

Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
Safely and compassionately handle and restrain animals.
Communicate clearly with clients, including providing care instructions and status updates.
Perform technical duties such as laboratory work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
Keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
