About The Position

Animal Hospital of North Charleston is hiring a full-time Veterinary Technician to provide skilled care to patients and exceptional service to clients. The ideal candidate has experience in animal care, client communication, and veterinary procedures, with a passion for improving the lives of pets and their owners. The Veterinary Technician supports veterinarians in patient care and performs technical duties while helping maintain a safe, clean, and well-prepared hospital environment. Requirements

Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
Knowledge of common disease states and ability to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.

Nice To Haves

Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification is preferred.
Experience in animal care, client communication, and veterinary procedures.

Responsibilities

Support veterinarians with patient care, examinations, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
Safely and compassionately handle and restrain animals.
Communicate clearly with clients, including providing care instructions and patient status updates.
Perform technical duties such as laboratory work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
Keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
