About The Position

BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team in Savannah, GA! Our hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 8am - 6pm. No holidays required. This position offers a 4x10 hour, week day shift schedule. The pay band is $21.50 - $35.80 / hour, dependent on experience and advancement through our competency assessment tool. Candidates with VTS credentialing are eligible for compensation commensurate with experience.

Requirements

Ability to place peripheral intravenous catheter in cephalic vein.
Perform physical exam; accurately count heart, pulse rate, capillary refill time, mucous membranes, temperature, respiratory rate and effort.
Understand normal vital parameters and alert doctor when abnormal.
Set up intravenous fluids.
Administer subcutaneous fluids.
Operate all brands of intravenous fluid pumps and troubleshoot errors.
Disconnect and connect patient from intravenous fluids aseptically.
Monitor patient response to fluid therapy including signs of overload.

Responsibilities
