About The Position

Lakeway Veterinary Clinic is hiring a Veterinary Technician or Experienced Veterinary Assistant for its two-doctor small animal practice in Lakeway, Texas. Requirements

Experience as a veterinary technician or veterinary assistant.

Responsibilities

Triage patients and obtain thorough histories, vital signs, and assessments.
Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care from intake through discharge.
Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection.
Take high-quality radiographs and maintain imaging standards.
Perform in-house laboratory testing, including CBC/chemistry, urinalysis, cytology, and fecal testing.
Support surgical and dental procedures, including preparation, monitoring, recovery, and instrument care.
Monitor anesthesia and patient vital signs during procedures.
Educate clients with compassion, clarity, and confidence.
Maintain accurate medical records and patient charts.
Participate in ongoing training and growth opportunities.
