About The Position

Troy Animal Hospital is hiring a Licensed Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant. This is a part-time position with negotiable salary based on experience and licensure. The schedule includes Monday 8 AM - 6 PM, Tuesday 8 AM - 6 PM, Thursday 12 PM - 6 PM, and Saturday 8 AM - 12 PM every other week. Requirements

• Veterinary Technician credentials or previous Veterinary Assistant experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care and patient support
• Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures
• Support surgical and dental procedures as directed
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collect samples and assist with diagnostic testing
• Educate clients on preventive care, treatment plans, and patient needs
• Maintain accurate patient records and medical documentation
• Practice Fear Free and Low-Stress Handling techniques
• Collaborate with the veterinary team to provide exceptional patient care
• Support daily hospital operations and workflow
