Westside Animal Hospital is a long-standing general practice hospital with deep ties to the community, located in beautiful Colorado Springs, Colorado. Our animal medical facility provides quality medicine while striving to make an impact in our community and treat our patients/clients like family. We are currently looking to hire a Veterinary Technician to join our team! The ideal candidate will be a dependable, detail-oriented team player who loves pets and being part of a fun, supportive team. Westside Animal Hospital aims to provide owners with sound, honest choices for their pets and to provide our patients with excellent and compassionate medical care. We strive to give our customers the best-personalized service possible and to create a friendly, professional work environment for our awesome staff!

Requirements

  • Registered Veterinary Technician (highly preferred)
  • 2+ years of veterinary experience
  • Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
  • Passion for working with animals and their owners
  • Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
  • Understands the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience rooming patients
  • Surgical assisting experience and knowledge of equipment used
  • Drawing blood and running bloodwork
  • Knowledge of x-rays and proper positioning
  • Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
  • Understanding the importance of client education
