About The Position
Valley Animal Hospital & Pet Resort in Huntsville, AL is seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) or Experienced Assistant. For over 30 years, the hospital has provided excellent, compassionate, and innovative care, earning AAHA Accreditation, Fear Free practices, and recognition as a Cat-Friendly Practice. The hospital operates out of two buildings, a full-service hospital and a new wellness center, offering a full range of services including routine care, surgery, dentals, and advanced diagnostics. The Pet Resort and Dog Day Camp add a fun element with various activities. This role focuses on handling 'see-it-today' cases with efficiency and empathy, offering a middle ground between general practice routine and grueling overnight shifts.
Requirements
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) or Experienced Assistant
- At least 2 years of experience in general practice
- Reliable
- Passionate
- Seasoned in inpatient & outpatient care, phlebotomy, radiology, surgical prep, anesthesia, and recovery, dentistry and dental radiographs, client education and team collaboration
- Clearly communicating with clients and working closely with DVMs
- Heart, initiative, and a team-first mindset
