About The Position

The Pet Wellness Group is hiring a full-time Veterinary Technician to provide skilled care to patients and exceptional service to clients. The role supports veterinarians in patient care and procedures, performs technical duties, communicates with clients, and helps maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked clinical environment. The schedule is 32–34 hours per week, with a four-day work week, a scheduled day off, and a required rotational shift every other Saturday. The hourly salary is $16–$24, based on the candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications. The facility includes three exam rooms, a large treatment area, a separate surgical suite, and a cat-friendly wing. Its equipment includes an in-house laboratory, digital dental radiographs, digital X-ray, ultrasound, and electrocardiogram monitors. Requirements

At least 1 year of veterinary experience.
Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
Knowledge of common disease states and ability to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

Support veterinarians with patient care, examinations, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
Safely and compassionately handle and restrain animals.
Communicate clearly with clients, including providing care instructions and status updates.
Perform technical duties such as laboratory work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
Keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
