Poinciana Pet Clinic is dedicated to providing excellent, comprehensive care to companion animals in the South Orlando area. Our parent practice, Kissimmee Animal Hospital, has provided world-class veterinary service since 1974. We are an outpatient clinic that continuously maintains ambitious standards and client-centered service. We take on a personalized approach with each patient to maximize health and results. Requirements

An experienced Veterinary Assistant with a minimum of 1-year experience preferred.
Compassionate, Calm, Team Player, Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator
Must be able to properly restrain pets.
Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset.

Nice To Haves

Proficient in sample collection, obtaining medical histories, processing laboratory tests and radiographs, and anesthesia monitoring are a bonus!

Responsibilities

Pet restraint
Triage incoming patients
Collection and analysis of lab samples
Diagnostic imaging
Management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability
Administration of medications
Effective communication of treatment plans with clients
Surgical preparation and assistance
Anesthetic management
