Animal Hospital of Frisco is looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our close-knit, family-oriented team. Requirements

  • Previous veterinary technician experience
  • Strong technical skills, including anesthesia monitoring, venipuncture, catheter placement, and patient nursing
  • Experience with radiology, laboratory diagnostics, and dental procedures
  • Excellent patient handling and restraint skills
  • Outstanding communication and client service abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to teamwork
  • Passion for providing exceptional patient care and continuing to grow professionally

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, surgeries, and procedures
  • Place IV catheters, perform venipuncture, and collect diagnostic samples
  • Administer medications, pre-anesthetic drugs, and treatments as directed
  • Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia patients
  • Provide surgical nursing and perioperative patient care
  • Perform dental prophylaxis and assist with dental procedures
  • Obtain high-quality diagnostic radiographs
  • Monitor hospitalized patients and provide inpatient and outpatient nursing care
  • Process laboratory diagnostics and maintain accurate medical records
  • Educate clients regarding medications, treatment plans, preventive care, and discharge instructions
  • Assist compassionately with euthanasia procedures
  • Collaborate closely with doctors, CSRs, and teammates to provide exceptional patient care
