About The Position

Park Veterinary Hospital [https://parkveterinaryhospital.com/] is a full-service animal hospital and urgent care center serving Durham, NC. With a busy, high-energy practice supported by eight dedicated doctors, we deliver exceptional veterinary care while fostering a collaborative, team-oriented environment. We’re currently seeking both full-time and part-time RVTs to help us provide compassionate care and maintain smooth operations across our growing practice. Requirements

  • Licensed RVT in North Carolina with 1–2 years of hands-on clinical experience
  • You are available and willing to work rotating weekend shifts.
  • Confident with anesthesia monitoring and handling patients of all sizes and temperaments
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with rotating weekends
  • Strong communicator and team player who thrives in a collaborative setting
  • Lifelong learner excited to expand skills and stay current with veterinary best practices

Nice To Haves

  • Fear-Free training and/or anesthesia-specific CE credentials.

Responsibilities

  • Procedure support: pre-op checks, induction assistance, primary anesthesia monitoring, recovery oversight.
  • Clinical operations: room tech duties, triage support, treatments, clear charting, and inventory/restock.
  • Client experience: translate medical jargon into friendly guidance and education. Set expectations and follow-up appropriately.
  • Safely handle and restrain patients with confidence and compassion
  • Communicate clearly with clients about treatment plans and care instructions
  • Support workflow efficiency and contribute to a positive, team-first culture
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education
