About The Position

Family Pet Clinic is hiring a full-time Veterinary Technician to provide skilled patient care and exceptional client service. The role supports veterinarians with exams, surgery, anesthesia, recovery, and other clinical procedures, while helping clients understand their pets’ care. The clinic is a full-service veterinary practice serving dogs, cats, and their owners, with locations in Southampton and Feasterville and a new facility opening in Horsham. It has served the community for over 25 years and is accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). The position pays $21–$25 per hour, based on the candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with rotating Saturdays and two evening shifts per week. The hospital closes for lunch from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Requirements

At least 1 year of veterinary experience.
Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
Knowledge of common disease states and ability to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

Support veterinarians with patient care, examinations, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion.
Communicate clearly with clients, including providing care instructions and status updates.
Perform technical duties such as laboratory work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
Keep examination rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
