We're seeking a motivated, confident, and experienced Urgent Care Veterinary Technician who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to excellent patient care. You should be passionate about animal health, skilled in your craft, and excited to work closely with a collaborative medical team.
Requirements
- 2+ years of veterinary experience (urgent care or emergency preferred)
- A strong work ethic and positive, team-first attitude
- A passion for patient care and client education
- The ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
- Safe and effective animal restraint
- Collecting and processing lab samples (blood, urine, etc.)
- Administering oral and injectable medications
- Taking comprehensive medical and vaccine histories
- Assisting in sedation and post-op recovery
- Following sterilization and biosecurity protocol
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with urgent exams and procedures
- Educate clients on treatments, medications, and home care
- Accurately administer vaccines and treatments
- Calculate medication dosages and ensure precise delivery
- Maintain detailed and accurate electronic medical records
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients and team members
- Help maintain hospital cleanliness and high infection-control standards
