About The Position
Countryside Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our collaborative, patient-focused team. We are a well-established small animal practice serving the Shelton community with compassionate, high-quality medicine. This position offers a consistent weekday schedule and the opportunity to work alongside a supportive, skilled veterinary team.
Requirements
- 2+ years of veterinary technician experience preferred
- Comfortable with venipuncture and medication administration
- Experience running rooms independently
- Confident in anesthesia monitoring, surgical support, and patient care (only LVT/CVTs perform anesthesia and surgical duties)
- Knowledge of surgical prep and patient care
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Dependable and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Support veterinarians during exams and treatments
- Run appointments and obtain patient histories
- Administer vaccines and prescribed medications
- Perform venipuncture and IV/SQ injections
- Prepare patients for procedures and assist with treatment flow
- Assist with surgical prep and patient recovery as needed
- Provide client education and discharge instructions
- Help maintain efficient workflow throughout the hospital
