About The Position

Good Shepherd Pet Hospital is growing and looking for a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team in Odessa, Florida, just outside Tampa. Our hospital was founded by Dr. Bassem Deeb with a mission to deliver compassionate, individualized care while strengthening the bond between pets and their families. Requirements

Minimum 2 years of veterinary technician experience
Strong technical skills including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, and surgical assistance
Comfortable working rotating Saturday shifts
Reliable, positive, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinic
Strong communication skills with both clients and coworkers
A team-oriented professional who enjoys contributing to a supportive culture

Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures
Provide anesthesia monitoring and surgical support
Collect diagnostic samples including blood draws and catheter placement
Administer medications and injections as directed
Take radiographs and perform EKGs when needed
Assist with patient preparation and recovery for procedures
Communicate clearly with clients regarding treatment plans and patient updates
Work collaboratively with the team to keep appointments and treatments running smoothly
