Nassau Veterinary Clinic is looking for a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our supportive and experienced team! Our AAHA-accredited, five-doctor hospital has proudly served the community since 1937, making us one of the longest-standing animal hospitals in New York State. Our modern facility includes: 6 spacious exam rooms Fully equipped surgery suite Large treatment and hospitalization area Digital X-ray and advanced diagnostic equipment Ultrasound capabilities Grooming and pet training rooms Outdoor exercise and agility area Our 30+ team members care for up to 100 pets daily, and many of our staff have been with us for 15+ years, which speaks to the supportive culture we’ve built.
Requirements
- Active New York Veterinary Technician License (LVT)
- Strong technical and patient care skills
- Excellent communication and client education abilities
- A positive, team-oriented attitude
- A passion for learning and growing in veterinary medicine
Responsibilities
- Venipuncture and IV catheter placement
- Laboratory sample collection and diagnostics
- Administering vaccines and medications
- Anesthesia monitoring and dental cleanings
- Taking and reviewing radiographs
- Client education and support
