About The Position

Fetch Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Centers is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our Radiation Oncology team in Bonita Springs, FL. This role involves administering radiation treatments to pets diagnosed with cancer, ensuring their comfort and safety. You will prepare, maintain, and operate specialized radiation therapy equipment, including a Varian Truebeam linear accelerator. Responsibilities include monitoring patients during treatment, documenting their responses, and communicating changes to the veterinary team. Compassionate care and support for pets and their families throughout the treatment journey are essential. Requirements

  • Certification as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, or RVT) preferred.
  • Previous experience in a veterinary clinic, particularly in oncology or radiation therapy, is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Administering radiation treatments to pets diagnosed with cancer.
  • Preparing, maintaining, and operating specialized radiation therapy equipment, including a Varian Truebeam linear accelerator.
  • Monitoring patients during treatment sessions.
  • Documenting patient responses to treatment.
  • Communicating any changes in patient condition to the veterinary team.
  • Supporting pets and their families throughout the treatment journey with empathy and understanding.
