About The Position

Caring Hands Ashburn is hiring a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician to provide skilled patient care and exceptional service to clients. The ideal candidate has experience in animal care, client communication, and veterinary procedures, and is passionate about improving the lives of pets and their owners. The position averages 32–40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with hours scheduled between 7:30 AM and 8:00 PM. Weekends are not required. Compensation is $25.00–$40.00 per hour, dependent on skills and experience, and includes a $3,000 sign-on bonus. Requirements

Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification.
Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
Knowledge of common disease states and ability to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.
Experience in animal care, client communication, and veterinary procedures.

Responsibilities

Support veterinarians with patient care, examinations, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
Safely and compassionately handle and restrain animals.
Communicate clearly with clients, including providing care instructions and status updates.
Perform technical duties such as laboratory work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
Keep examination rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
