About The Position
Blue Sky Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join their team. The clinic has been serving the Bend, Oregon community for over 25 years and is looking for technicians who feel recognized, empowered, and supported in their professional growth. The role emphasizes utilizing hard-earned skills, offering flexible scheduling, 4-day workweeks, and a supportive team environment. This position is full-time and offers a compensation of $27-$28 per hour, depending on experience, with a $500 sign-on bonus after 90 days.

Responsibilities
- Partner with veterinarians and fellow team members to provide compassionate, high-quality patient care
- Use veterinary technician training and credentials across a broad range of clinical responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Provide attentive nursing care and patient monitoring
- Support diagnostic, laboratory, surgical, and treatment procedures within training and scope
- Monitor patients and communicate changes or concerns to the veterinary team
- Maintain accurate and timely patient information and medical records
- Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients
- Educate pet owners and help them understand recommendations and at-home care
- Help maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked clinical areas
- Collaborate with teammates to support an efficient workflow and positive hospital culture
- Continue developing skills through hands-on experience and professional development
