About The Position

The Pet Wellness Group is hiring a full-time Veterinary Technician to provide skilled care to veterinary patients and exceptional service to clients. The role supports veterinarians with patient care and procedures, performs technical duties, communicates with clients, maintains medical records, and helps keep the facility and equipment ready for use. The schedule is 32–34 hours per week, with a four-day workweek and a scheduled day off. A rotating Saturday shift is required every other week. Salary is $16–$24 per hour, based on skills, experience, and qualifications. The practice describes its state-of-the-art facility as having three exam rooms, a large treatment area, a separate surgical suite, and a cat-friendly wing. Equipment and services include an in-house lab, digital dental radiographs, digital X-ray, ultrasound, and electrocardiogram monitors. Requirements

At least one year of veterinary experience.
Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
Knowledge of common disease states and ability to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

Support veterinarians with patient care, examinations, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
Safely and compassionately handle and restrain animals.
Communicate clearly with clients, including providing care instructions and status updates.
Perform technical duties such as laboratory work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
Keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
