Requirements

  • Previous veterinary technician experience
  • Veterinary Technician licensure preferred
  • A positive attitude, reliability, and genuine passion for veterinary medicine
  • Professional and compassionate communication with clients and teammates
  • Strong technical skills, including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and laboratory procedures
  • Knowledge of anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
  • Experience assisting with surgery and providing patient nursing care
  • Safe and effective patient handling and restraint skills
  • Knowledge of preventative care and vaccine protocols

Responsibilities

  • Triage patients and obtain thorough histories, vitals, and patient assessments
  • Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures
  • Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care from intake through discharge
  • Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
  • Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection
  • Obtain high-quality radiographs and maintain imaging standards
  • Perform in-house laboratory testing, including CBC/chemistry, urinalysis, cytology, and fecals
  • Support surgical and dental procedures, including preparation, monitoring, recovery, and instrument care
  • Monitor anesthesia and patient vitals during procedures and maintain accurate records
