About The Position

Caring Hands Ashburn is hiring a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician to provide skilled patient care and exceptional service to clients. The role averages 32–40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 7:30 AM and 8:00 PM, with no weekends. The hourly salary is $25.00–$40.00, dependent on skills and experience, and the position includes a $3,000 sign-on bonus. The Veterinary Technician supports veterinarians with patient care and clinical procedures, communicates with clients, maintains accurate medical records, and helps keep the hospital’s clinical areas and equipment ready for use. Requirements

Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification.
Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
Knowledge of common disease states and ability to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.
Experience in animal care, client communication, and veterinary procedures.

Responsibilities

Support veterinarians with patient care, examinations, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately.
Communicate clearly with clients, including providing care instructions and patient status updates.
Perform technical duties such as laboratory work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
Keep examination rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
