About The Position
VCA Wellington Animal Hospital in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, is hiring a Veterinary Technician for its three-doctor general practice. The hospital has served the community for over 10 years and emphasizes providing high-quality patient care. The technician will support doctor and technician teams in creating a positive, low-stress experience for clients and patients, building pet parents’ confidence through outstanding client service, and helping provide exceptional patient care. The role uses skills across patient assessment, anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, radiology, laboratory work, venipuncture, catheter placement, pharmacy, patient recovery, and compassionate care of hospitalized animals. Responsibilities
- Support veterinary technician and doctor teams in providing care to patients.
- Create a positive, low-stress atmosphere for clients and patients.
- Deliver an outstanding client experience and build pet parents’ confidence.
- Perform physical examinations and patient assessments.
- Monitor anesthesia.
- Prepare for and assist with surgery.
- Provide dentistry-related support.
- Perform radiology and laboratory work.
- Perform venipuncture and catheter placement.
- Support pharmacy activities.
- Assist with patient recovery.
- Provide compassionate care to hospitalized animals.
