We are currently looking to hire Veterinary Technician to join our team at PetDocks Veterinary Hospital in Morehead City, North Carolina. Requirements

1 + years of veterinary clinical experience, as a veterinary assistant or technician required
Understand the importance of excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
Passion for working with animals and their owners
Familiarity with Cornerstone or ProVet preferred
Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
Experience with proper animal handling and restraint of a variety of species
Ability to perform nursing care in a veterinary hospital setting
Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
Basic understanding of common medications, vaccinations, and preventatives

Nice To Haves

NC state RVT license strongly preferred , but not required

Responsibilities

Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments per doctor orders
Assist veterinarians and technicians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures
Ensure a clean, safe and organized work environment
Proper animal handling and restraint of a variety of species
Perform nursing care in a veterinary hospital setting
Boarding/kennel shifts are required
