About The Position

Seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician Full Time! Located just 5 miles from the beaches of the Jersey Shore, VCA Toms River Animal Hospital is a 7 doctor general practice offering wellness and sick care, digital radiography including dental x-rays, surgery, FAST ultrasound, rehabilitation, acupuncture, laser therapy, in house bloodwork, and hospitalization. We are seeking an experienced Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our team full time. The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine and patient care—with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen. Requirements

  • Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT)
  • Experience in veterinary medicine
  • Belief in high quality veterinary medicine and patient care
  • Expertise and technical know-how

Responsibilities

  • Support Technician and Doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients.
  • Win the confidence of every pet parent—by delivering an outstanding client experience—so we can provide exceptional care to every patient.
  • Utilize knowledge and skills in physical examinations and patient assessment.
  • Perform anesthesia monitoring.
  • Assist with surgical preparation.
  • Conduct dentistry procedures.
  • Perform radiology.
  • Conduct laboratory work.
  • Perform venipuncture.
  • Perform catheter placement.
  • Manage pharmacy.
  • Oversee patient recovery.
  • Provide compassionate care of hospitalized animals.
